Daratsos village , 4km from Chania,18km from Airport and 11km from port of Chania,area consist of Ano Daratso and Kato Daratso.
The Fishing  village has about 2000 residents and it is located on the north side of the prefecture, This village was first inhabited by refugees. It’s a pleasant holiday resort and it is located very very  near the city of Chania. The area of Daratso is at the west of the city of Chania, next toAgii Apostoli    and Akti Chrisi. It is a holiday resort and attracts the locals as well
during the summer. The area is divided in 2 parts, Ano Daratso which is the higher part above the sea level and Katso Daratso which is the lower part.
