If you are a tourist with an interest in archaeology, then you shouldn't miss visiting the Northern village of Apollonas and its
trademark, a lying, still, and huge Archaic statue, dating from the 7th or 6th century BC. Apart from history, Appolonas is a picturesque settlement, set behind a little port, with a great view of the Aegean Sea.
In the village, there is also a marvellous, sandy beach with transparent sea-water along with nice accommodation and places to eat.
