KAMARI : Kamari is a tourist resort to the southeast side of Santorini. Like other places in the island, Kamari also suffered from the 1956 earthquake and it was completely rebuilt. This place is famous for its beautiful beach that lies and reaches the area of Monolithos. There are hotels, restaurants, bars and many shops for everyone. Some well-known celebrations, which take place every year, is the Jazz festival for those who love art and for the more religious people, don't miss the feast of the Virgin Mary, on the 15th August, which is celebrated in the 1000-year-old Church of Panagia Episkopi.
